November 11, 2006 Newsletter
Welcome to all of you who have signed up since my last newsletter. I hope everyone has been having a wonderful year. This year has been a busy one for me. My new studio, started last June, is almost complete. It should be ready by Christmas or maybe a bit before.



The new studio nears completion!
"Summer's End" was accepted into "Blossom-Art Of Flowers" an exhibition sponsored by the Susan Kathleen Black Foundation. My work was one of 50 paintings out of 1742 to be part of a traveling show and compete for the $25,000.00 first place award! The show will open at the Houston Museum of Natural Science and will be on display from March 17, 2007 through May 20, 2007.

I've always had a room in the house to work in, but this is my first real studio! I've also been busy working on some new paintings called The Mountain Fog Series.

These paintings are inspired by the California coast from a high ridge near my house. They are called "The Mountain Fog Series" because they were painted with the beautiful sight of the fog rolling in from the ocean in the evening. "Sun And Fog" was juried into the Morro Bay Art Association's "Central Coast Fine Art Competition", Morro Bay, CA.

"Run Through The Woods", and "Oak Tree With Lion" were juried into The Placerville Arts Association's "Mother Lode National Exhibition", Placerville, CA.

"Canyon Fog" was juried into the Brad Cooper Gallery's "Landscape In The Postmodern". [Brad Cooper Gallery,

This painting was done in Yosemite two years ago. Usually I paint more realistically when I go to Yosemite, but this time I used imaginative colors which created the "Postmodern" look they were looking for in this show.



Canyon Fog
I am having a small solo show at the Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts in conjunction with their "The Coming Of The Winter Arts" exhibition. The opening is November 18, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. and will run through January 27th. The museum is located at 7080 N.W. 4th Street, Plantation, FL (954)583-5551. All images are available as open edition ink jet prints, 10.5 x 13 or 14 depending on the size of the original for $35.00. They are also available double matted 11x14 with the image size of approximately 8x10 for $35.00. Most images are available as giclée prints in limited editions of 100, signed and numbered. Different sizes are available for a single image, but all will be under the edition of 100.
